The Beginners Yoga Course is the first step on a journey to good health, vitality and a peaceful mind. The course is a practical experience of Yoga postures, breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation. Suitable for beginners of all ages and abilities as well as for regular practitioners who wish to refresh their knowledge. Meets once per week for six weeks. The course fee includes an additional six classes (free) while you are on the course.

Continuing on from the Beginners course, level 2 is a sustainable and safe progression to classic Yoga postures. The course presents a uniquely holistic sequence of exercises and techniques which cultivate strength, balance, flexibility and develop concentration. In a very natural way, theses exercises, breathing and meditation techniques positively influence our overall state of health and happiness. Meets once per week for six weeks. The Yoga for Stress Management Course uses Yoga techniques of breathing, stretching, self-enquiry meditation and relaxation to manage and reduce levels of stress physically, mentally and emotionally.

Modern society, work and relationships present challenges and difficulties to everyone, often resulting in stress and tension. It can seem that circumstances slip beyond our control and helplessness follows.

The practices of this Yoga In Daily Life Stress Management course are designed to balance our reactions to those circumstances, transforming potential stress into challenges dealt with calmly. The course embraces the wide variety of experiences that life presents us, recognising that being open to change and challenge is nourishing to our being.

Meets once per week for six weeks.

Urban Yoga Retreat

The perfect way to release the stress and tension of everyday life. An entire morning devoted to a gentle but deepening practice of postures, stretching & breathing. Traditional Indian Chai in the garden precedes the main program, Yoga Nidra, a guided relaxation of about 45 minutes. Yoga Nidra lets the body and mind sink into the deepest states of peaceful rest and rejuvenation. Evening Satsang

Swami_Jasraj_Puri

Satsang is a Sanskrit word meaning "in the company of truth". It is an opportunity to gather with like-minded people on the spiritual path to reflect, share and draw inspiration that can be applied in daily life. The evening includes singing of bhajans, (yogic songs explaining the secrets of spiritual practice), a short talk and a guided meditation. The satsang is followed by a shared vegetarian meal.
